Lorenzo Musetti's 2023 ended with the Davis Cup trophy. His 2024 will begin as a new father.

The Italian world No. 27, 21, and his girlfriend, Veronica Confalonieri, are expecting their first child next year, and the young couple showcased their impending addition via an Instagram post by Confalonieri on Saturday. Vacationing in the Maldives, the two took time out from their rest and relaxarion to pose on the beach for a glamorous black and white maternity photo shoot.

"Aspettando te," Confalonieri wrote as the caption, which translates to, "Waiting for you."

In Septemer, the Italian publication Ubitennis first reported that the couple were expecting, and that Confalonieri will deliver in the spring.

On the court in 2023, Musetti was not only a member of Italy's first Davis Cup champions in nearly 50 years, but reached a career-high ranking of No. 15 in June, shortly after reaching the fourth round of Roland Garros.

He also reached the quarterfinals in Monte Carlo, where he stunned world No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the third round en route.
