Bencic's run continues with three-set victory over Svitolina in Dubai

Belinda Bencic is making her presence felt on the WTA tour again, as the former world No. 7 is through to the final in Dubai. The Swiss beat Elina Svitolina 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (3) in the semifinals, which is impressive considering she has already defeated Aryna Sabalenka and Simona Halep in this tournament.

Next up for Bencic is a match against Petra Kvitova, who emerged victorious in a three-set battle against Su-Wei Hsieh on Friday. Kvitova has been a consistent presence late in tournaments in 2019, so this isn't going to be an easy match for Bencic. Kvitova also happens to be 3-0 against Bencic in her career, so the Swiss will need to figure out a different way to approach this match.
