It’s no secret that Taylor Fritz loves a bit of Chipotle.

The world No. 12 has waxed on about his favorite post-workout burrito bowls and guacamole more than one in the past—and now, he’ll be able to enjoy all of that whenever he wants—and at no charge—thanks to a new “dream” sponsorship deal with the American fast-casual restaurant chain

“If you know me… you know this is a dream come true,” Fritz wrote on social media this week, as he shared a photo showing off the Chipotle patch on his brand new Hugo Boss kit.

“Excited to officially partner with Chipotle… Big things coming!!”

It’s one of those quirky player-and-brand partnerships that just makes sense, like Iga Swiatek becoming an ambassador for LEGO or Naomi Osaka teaming up with Playstation and Fortnite. Fritz, a Southern California native, once spent most of a Business Insider interview in 2022 chatting about his pre-Grand Slam diet—which often includes a well-deserved Chipotle bowl after “a really tough workout”.

"After practice, I'll then have lunch. For me the lunches depend on the workout for the day,” he told BI’s Barnaby Lane ahead of Roland Garros. “If it's like a really tough workout, then I might get something a little heavier like a Chipotle bowl…

"You can be unhealthy with your bowl if you want to get like a ton of cheese on it, but you can also just go in and get chicken, rice, vegetables, and guacamole and that's a great meal after you've just worked out.

"I think a lot of people don't understand how good it is as a post-workout meal. It's got everything."

It’s not just the healthy options at the Mexican-themed chain that have Fritz excited though. According to journalist Tim Newcomb, the new partnership will also see him score a Chipotle Celebrity Card, “which grants him access to free Chipotle.” Now that’s a perk!

That’s not the only big money move from Fritz recently, as the 2022 BNP Paribas Open champion made headlines earlier this week when he unveiled his move from apparel sponsor Nike to Hugo Boss.

Beginning with Indian Wells, the German luxury fashion brand will dress Fritz “on and off the court, including for all official events, red-carpet moments, and interviews.”

“I’m excited to join the BOSS family. In both my tennis career and my personal life, I strive to deliver 110%, embrace new challenges, and stay true to myself–so I’m inspired by the brand’s values of living a self-determined life and ‘being your own BOSS,’” Fritz said in a statement.

“I look forward to bringing my best, most BOSS self to the court in sportswear that combines smart aesthetics with exciting, performance-driven features.”

Fritz, the No. 12 seed in Indian Wells, will take on Alejandro Tabilo on Court 1 in the BNP Paribas Open second round on Saturday.
