The Hamburg European Open provided a compelling answer to Buzzfeed’s “Chris Evans Plays With Puppies” by conducting an interview with Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Sir Winston, the tournament’s official transportation dog.

Before the Spaniard took the court for 6-2, 6-2 victory over Jozef Kovalik, the noted animal lover known as Foki attempted to explain his website ADOPTAS.org—which works to connect potential pet owners with shelter animals throughout Spain—while Sir Winston begged for treats and attention.

“I cannot concentrate!” laughed the 23-year-old.

Already in the midst of a breakthrough season highlighted by his run to a first Masters 1000 final in Monte Carlo, Davidovich Fokina has big dreams for ADOPTAS, including a wider expansion of its services beyond his home in Spain.

“We’re so happy because we just started, and there are so many animals. We’re happy to see all the ones we’ve already adopted out,” he explains while trying to get Sir Winston to sit.

Hungry for more treats, Sir Winston tried to eat the microphone when Foki asked the pupper for further comment.

“I already told my mom that I’m going to buy a big house and I’m going to rescue all the dogs in Spain so I can have them all!”

Into his first quarterfinal since Queen’s Club in June, Davidovich Fokina next plays Lorenzo Musetti, having likely endeared himself to plenty of fans—four-legged or otherwise—in Hamburg.
