Alycia Parks may have lost in the first round to Olga Danilovic, but her trip to the US Open was not in vain. During her match, the American wild card tied Venus Williams’ record for fastest serve at a Grand Slam.

The 20-year-old clocked a 129 m.p.h, serve, the same speed that Williams reached in her first-round match of the 2007 US Open. This places Parks tied for fifth on the list of all-time fastest serves by a WTA player; Georgina Garcia Perez currently holds the record, reaching 136.7 m.p.h. at the 2018 Hungarian Ladies Open.

Not bad for a rising star’s main draw debut at Grand Slam.
