She's going co-ed: American Amanda Anisimova is using her time away from tennis to head back to school.

The former world No. 21 posted scenes from Nova Southeastern University in Florida on her Instagram story this week, seeming to imply that she's enrolled at the school during her indefinite sabbatical from professional tennis.

The American announced her intentions to step away from the tour earlier this year, citing burnout and concerns for her mental health. In back-to-back Instagram stories on Thursday, the 21-year-old revealed a new chapter by posting scenes from NSU's Fort Lauderdale campus; first, a name tag noting her assignment to "Group 10," a telltale sign that she was attending the school's new-student orientation that was scheduled for Aug. 16, and another of her standing on campus with a school building visible in the background.

"#firstdayvibes," she wrote to accompany the latter.

But academics aren't the only interest that Anisimova has been exploring in her time off. In the months since announcing her break, she has been honing her artistic side, and recently announced that she'll be selling her original paintings to benefit charities including Feeding America, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and Preventing Child Abuse America.

"I decided to launch this website dedicated to promoting and protecting mental health in all aspects of life," she wrote on a website launching the endeavor, dubbed "Art for Hope."

"I believe that everyone deserves access to resources and support, no matter what their background or circumstances may be. Mental health is a crucial component of overall well-being. It affects how we feel, think, act, and can have a profound impact on our relationships, work, and daily life. Yet, mental health is often stigmatized or overlooked, leading to lack of access to resources.

"I came across the quote, 'We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone,' which is what finally got me to act on something I have wanted to do for a while now!"

The American was last on court at the Mutua Madrid Open, where she lost in the first round to Arantxa Rus in late April, and made her sabbatical announcement a week later.
