Every week, American players from the ATP and WTA tours step up to the plate around the world. Here are the top American movers and shakers that shone brightest this week:

1. Frances Tiafoe

He didn't up with a title, but Frances Tiafoe made his mark in Vienna. The American battled through three seeded players - No. 1 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, No. 8 seed Diego Schwartzman, and No. 7 seed Jannik Sinner - to reach the final against Alexander Zverev.

Tiafoe was unable to take down his friend, but this was the first time in his career that the American consecutively defeated three Top 20 opponents.
