Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova is the newest player in tennis’ fashion game. The 33-year-old has booked a spot in the Australian Open fourth round, and she stands out from the pack in all-original apparel that she designed and created herself.

Pavlyuchenkova took to social media to show off the new garments, a tennis dress and satin bomber jacket for tournaments Down Under, as she announced a “trial run” of her new project.

“This season I will play in my new uniform. I have already played one tournament in Adelaide and now I will play in Melbourne,” she shared on Instagram. “This is a trial run, I already have a couple of sets of dresses and skirts with tops.”

Previously sponsored by Lacoste, the Russian player had been without an apparel sponsor for about a year before unveiling her new kit.

For the start of the 2025 season in Australia, Pavlyuchenkova has opted for a “quite revealing” lavender tennis dress with a v-neckline and high side slits. Contrasting pops of yellow-gold can be found on her accessories, from her visor to her wristbands and peekaboo shorts, with bow details adding touches of whimsy.

“The dresses are quite revealing with open cuts in delicate colors,” she explained. “Lavender is one of my favorites, (and) I added some yellow since it's the beginning of the season in Australia. Australia is sunny, so yellow.

“There are elements of little bows because I think bows are feminine and trendy right now.”

Pavlyuchenkova completes her on-court look with an oversized warm-up jacket, and is currently competing in Lacoste tennis shoes and Wilson racquet.

There aren’t too many details available about the new clothes, but if Pavlyuchenkova’s own cool-girl personal style off the court is any indicator then we’re in for some killer tennis kits.

“I love style and fashion in general. And I have my own style. I like to express myself in this way,” Pavlyuchenkova added. “I am a bit of an experimenter of sorts and a lot.

"I wish everyone in the new year also to experiment, to be yourself, to find your meanings and yourself.”

Pavlyuchenkova, the No. 27 seed, will face No. 18 seed Donna Vekic in the fourth round of the Australian Open on Saturday.
