Bianca Andreescu is gearing up for a major comeback. The 2019 US Open champion sat down with Alize Lim on "Major Talk" to talk about her health, training and what she's been up to for the past year.

“I’m doing really well. The virus kind of pushed me back, and some little personal things here and there, but right now I’m good, I’m training hard," she said. "I’m really looking forward to 2021."

She had been dealing with a knee injury and hasn't played a competitive match since the WTA Finals last year. Despite all of that and the shutdown, the Canadian is still ranked No. 7.

"I'm perfectly healthy," the 20-year-old said. "I really wanted to take time to build everything in my life, and I think this time off helped me do that."

Andreescu bought a home in Monaco and has been training at the Monte-Carlo Country Club. It makes for a beautiful backdrop for her practices.

She's also been putting in the hours at the nearby Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in France.

Away from the court she has taken up music, producing beats that her compatriot Denis Shapovalov should put a rap to one day.

"I just use GarageBand and yeah, I just kind of mash things up and there are some really nice things that I made and I actually posted some on SoundCloud," she said. "So if anyone wants to check that out... "

As for what's next, Andreescu said she's "100 percent" playing the Australian Open.
