Andy Murray gets sweet Father's Day surprise in Nottingham

Andy Murray got the Father's Day present for a lifetime on Sunday after winning the Rothesay Open in Nottingham.

After an efficient straight-sets win over France's Arthur Cazaux in the final of the ATP Challenger event, his 10th win in a row on grass courts this summer, the former world No. 1 had one more wish for a perfect day: to get home in time to see his children and celebrate.

"Hopefully, I can get home to see my kids on Father's Day," he said in his winner's speech, but at the sound of familiar voices in the crowd in response, Murray quickly turned his attention to the stands for a special surprise.

What did he find? His children had made it to Nottingham to watch their dad's triumphant moment.

"I didn't know they were here," he said, the surprise evident. "I had no idea they were coming. They came last week for the final at Surbiton—they turned up and it started raining, then they had to go home for the kids' bedtime and they missed the end of the match so it's great they could come today."

Murray skipped Roland Garros to start the grass-court season, and has now won back-to-back ATP Challenger titles this summer on his favorite surface.

On Monday, he'll be up to No. 38 in the ATP rankings as he arrives at the ATP 500 event at the Queen's Club, where he is a five-time champion.
