The wins just keep coming for Aryna Sabalenka.

The 2024 Australian Open and US Open champion has become a brand ambassador for Audemars Piguet, weeks after her viral moment in one of the luxury watchmaker’s pieces.

“We are excited to welcome indomitable tennis champion Aryna Sabalenka to the Audemars Piguet family as our newest friend of the brand,” AP announced in a statement, highlighting Sabalenka’s ‘relentless pursuit of excellence.’

“In this new role, Aryna will inspire us to explore new horizons in watchmaking while connecting with a new generation of watch enthusiasts and sports fans worldwide, reflecting the spirit of contemporary culture.”

The venerable Swiss watchmaker born in 1875 is known now for crafting ultra-luxe and high-end timepieces. Sabalenka joins other ‘friends of the brand’ including GRAMMY-winning and -nominated artists like John Mayer and Travis Scott, while fellow tennis champion Serena Williams joined the AP roster in 2014.

Sabalenka celebrated the news of her newest partnership by taking to social media, giving her 2.3 million followers on Instagram an inside look at her visit to the brand’s headquarters in Le Brassus. The trip included a look at the Audemars Piguet museum and atelier, where watchmakers were seen assembling pieces by hand in an homage to its horological evolution.

“So excited and honored to join the Audemars Piguet family,” Sabalenka shared on Instagram Reels. “Thank you for showing me around your beautiful grounds in Switzerland.”

The announcement came less than a week since Sabalenka lifted her third trophy at the Wuhan Open on Sunday, having also won the title in 2018 and 2019. Soon after sealing the victory, she showed off her growing AP collection as she slipped on a new watch with a bright sky-blue strap for the post-match photos and interviews.

Sabalenka’s watch nearly stole the show after her US Open victory, with her rainbow-colored Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph going viral as she paired it perfectly with both her purple Nike match dress and her stunning red gown for the champion’s photoshoot.

The world No. 2 will be back in action at the season-ending WTA Finals Riyadh, which will take place on November 2-9.
