It was an all-too-familiar scene as Novak Djokovic dominated the court against a red-hot Daniil Medvedev, who was on an impressive 20-match winning streak. But when it comes to the Serbian, no winning streaks seem to matter when he hits the court Down Under.

Djokovic claimed his 18th Grand Slam title at this year's Australian Open and extended his record to nine major trophies in Melbourne. The ATP recently created a video, highlighting Djokovic's love affair at the first major of the season.

In 2005 and 2006, Djokovic fell in the tournament's opening round, but bounced back in 2008 as he walked away with his first career Grand Slam title at Melbourne Park by defeating Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the final.

From that point, Djokovic's love for Melbourne continued to shine bright. He would claim three consecutive editions (2011-2013) for the first time in his career. At this year's edition, he secured his third straight Australian Open title. (2019-2021).

"Everyone has their own journey and their own way of making history. I'm trying to build that and develop that myself,"  Djokovic says in the ATP video.

He has now won 82 out of 90 Australian Open matches and holds an astonishing 91% winning record Down Under; he has never lost a final on Rod Laver Arena. When asked what No. 9 means to him, he stated: "I try to remind myself of how important this is and enjoy it as much as I can."

Djokovic has not revealed which tournament he will compete at next.
