Young players get to have all the fun. In Los Cabos, ATP Next Gen stars Ernesto Escobedo, Thanasi Kokkinakis, Taylor Fritz and Francis Tiafoe were more than willing to put the pedal to the metal on the beach.

Straight away, some of the pros were getting cold feet, specifically Aussie Kokkinakis.

"I don't have my license, so I don't know how I'm going to go here. I'm not feeling too confident, but I'll just wing it," he said.

Fritz threw shots at Tiafoe near the end of the trip, commenting on his slow speed.

"It's been really fun. It's pretty really cool riding around by the beach, but it kind of sucks we have to be behind Francis because he's going like 5 miles an hour, but it is what it is," Fritz said. "Whenever we do an activity with friends, it always makes it better."

Kokkinakis and Tiafoe took their competitive edge to the courts in the first round, with the Australian winning, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (10). Fritz advanced, while Escobedo was bounced by Fernando Verdasco.
