ATP-WTA merger idea catalyzes player, media member chatter

ATP star and Tennis United co-host Vasek Pospisil has been vocal on social media in recent years, and this quaran-time has not changed that.

One tweet this week—a response to Roger Federer that ATP Tour leaders have worked on a potential merger between that and the WTA Tour—incited a riot of response from tennis fans and media members alike. Cue David Law of the BBC:

Pospisil is hardly alone, though, as we know. Federer's own public ruminations on the topic prompted Billie Jean King to re-up the fact that she has shared this idea with the sport's powers-that-be, sponsors, and partners since before the Swiss GOAT was born.
