Babolat expands popular Evo line with two new racquet models

A favorite of recreational tennis players and rising juniors alike, Babolat’s popular Evo line just got an upgrade with the addition of two new racquet models: the Aero and Aero Lite.

While the Pure Aero may be the French racquet maker’s signature model—and its most popular, thanks to endorsements from the likes of Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Leylah Fernandez and Felix Auger-Aliassime—at the academies and public courts, Evo is king.

The Evo racquets are designed for players that enjoy putting in the reps and seeing their self-improvement translate onto the court. That makes them a popular racquet for juniors, who often spend hours training and doing drills, and so look to the Evo for its mix of comfort and power. Recreational and casual players—who may be taking tennis lessons to improve their game, or simply enjoy having a regular hit with friends—love them too for the same reasons.

Where the line’s previous Drive and Strike models put an emphasis on power or control, respectively, the Evo Aero is focused on helping players add spin to their game—much like its more famous pro-level “Pure” counterpart.

Babolat also announced the upcoming release of a second Evo model, the Aero Lite. Weighing 15 grams lighter, the racquet is targeted for juniors who are looking to steadily build their game as they make the transition to their first adult racquet.

The Babolat Evo Aero ($189) and the Evo Aero Lite ($169) are available online and at tennis retailers. Both models are available in two colorways—gray and yellow, and gray and pink—with the Lite version set for release on January 19, 2023.
