As 'the year of Tenniscore' comes to an end, we're recapping the best on and off court tennis style from players, celebrities and more. From a colorful tour-wide trend to a headline-grabbing 'super suit', here are the looks that kept us talking this season:

10. Andrey Rublev starts a trend

Well-known on tour for his signature casual-cool streetstyle, Rublev became an accidental trendsetter in 2024. He's previously launched his own charity clothing project, Rublo, and over the summer Rublev inked a deal with new apparel sponsor K-Swiss. But this year, it was his eyewear that had everyone looking.

The Russian picked up a few pairs of Ra Optics glasses, which feature light-blocking lenses in bright colors like orange and yellow, and soon half of the tennis tour was spotted in the same look.

9. Zendaya masters Monte-Carlo courtside style

Actress Zendaya put on a one-woman masterclass in courtside style throughout 2024 as she promoted Challengers, a tennis-themed romantic drama directed by Luca Guadagnino.

Popping up everywhere from Indian Wells to Wimbledon, Zendaya turned heads at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters with two looks—including a tribute to Althea Gibson in collaboration with On.

8. Jannik Sinner unveils new Gucci court bag

The Italian world No. 1 rocked the tennis fashion world last year when he debuted his Gucci court bag at Wimbledon—and this year he’s stepped up his style game again.

Sinner unveiled a new one-of-a-kind luxury duffle bag created in collaboration with Gucci and racquet sponsor Head, which he’s been carrying on court at all competitions in 2024.

7. Serena & Venus Williams land in Paris

Venus and Serena have spent the last few decades changing the game on the court, and this summer they once again reminded us that their influence extends far beyond it. The sisters, both deeply embedded in fashion through their own individual ventures, reunited on the runways at Vogue World in Paris.

Venus showed off a custom dress by French designer Marine Serre in a show at the Paris Vendôme, while Serena donned a custom gown designed by Ib Kamara of her beloved Off White fashion house.

6. Zheng Qinwen covers Vogue China

Chinese superstar Zheng scored two historic firsts in 2024: This summer she won her country’s first Olympic gold medal in singles at the 2024 Paris Games, and in the fall she became the first athlete ever to cover Vogue China. The former marked the biggest moment of her career to date, while the latter is proof that she’s officially achieved national hero status back home.

“This shoot is the one I am most satisfied with among all the shoots I have taken, because it shows my own understanding of fashion,” Zheng said. “...When I stand there, I feel that the whole person's aura is very strong, and I feel like a queen.”

5. Taylor Fritz & Matteo Berrettini's BOSS walk

Talk about a BOSS move: Global ambassadors Fritz and Berrettini took center stage during Milan Fashion Week as they joined models in showing off the brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 Ready-To-Wear Collection.

Fritz opened the show, leading models “out of office” and through a picturesque urban garden at the Palazzo del Senato. Meanwhile, Berrettini sported a familiar accessory on the runway as he carried his tennis racquet in a BOSS bag.

4. Aryna Sabalenka's US Open style serve

After claiming a long-awaited victory at the US Open, Sabalenka unveiled a glittering new accessory that nearly stole the spotlight from her Tiffany & Co. trophy. The Belarusian celebrated her victory with a pink gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph, which retails for 99,500 Swiss francs—or about $118,000 USD—and features rainbow-colored gemstones along the bezel and a rubber strap.

Sabalenka paired the watch with a long red Casablanca column dress for the champion’s photoshoot, and a few weeks later she announced a new partnership with the luxury watchmaker.

3. Marta Kostyuk’s viral Wimbledon dress

Kostyuk came full circle at Wimbledon when she rocked one of the most viral tennis outfits of the year: a delicately layered all-white look that was actually a replica of her wedding dress.

The Ukrainian wore two stunning dresses when she tied the knot in 2023, both looks designed in collaboration with Wilson. For Wimbledon, Kostyuk’s sponsor took inspiration from those looks to create the Marta Dress, which features a similar V-neck and open-back design, as well as a sheer button-up overlay that references the original's show stopping silk organza overdress layer.

“I think after Wimbledon is over, I will put this dress in a frame and hang it on the wall somewhere,” Kosyuk told press in London. “It definitely will be one of the highlights of my life and my career. I mean what else can you ask for?”

2. Roger Federer & Rafael Nadal break the internet for Louis Vuitton

They may have already hung up their racquets, but Federer and Nadal proved that there are still chapters left to write in the Fedal story. The rivals and friends reunited on a snowy mountaintop in Italy for Louis Vuitton’s iconic “Core Values” campaign.

Captured by celebrated photographer Annie Leibovitz, a GOAT in her own right, the pair joined sports legends like Pele, Maradona, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, as well as influential figures including Mikhail Gorbachev, Angelina Jolie and more who have taken part in the campaign over the years.

“As our tennis careers come to a close, we’re working together on something like this—it’s been an incredible journey,”Federer said. “Being at the top of the Dolomites feels symbolic in many ways. It really captures what this moment means to us— something truly special and meaningful.”

1. Naomi Osaka's maximalist US Open 'super suit'

When two-time champion Osaka made her highly anticipated return to the US Open for the first time since 2022, there was no flying under the radar. Instead, the Japanese player leaned into her ‘maximalist’ side when she walked on court in one of the most unique tennis outfits in years.

Her multilayered look featured a warm-up jacket, skirt overlay and tennis dress covered in bows, ruffles and intricate details – a reference to Japanese ‘Lolita goth’ style that inspired Osaka.

“I definitely love to be involved in everything I do, whether it's fashion or anything else,” Osaka told press in New York. “But I feel like being able to be a part of my tennis outfits gives me, I would say, a different strength… When I put on the outfit it's almost like a super suit, so I try to channel that.”

Created by Japanese designer Yoon Ahn, the creative director of Ambush and global curator for Nike Women, the custom fit also included ‘Lolita-style’ makeover to her Beats headphones and bows on her shoes for a true head-to-toe look.
