Best Tweets of the Week: WTA Halloween Edition

From treat-filled moments on the court to players getting into the spirit away from tournament life, the October 31 holiday has been embraced in many ways.

Each week we'll be highlighting some of the most hilarious, uplifting, and overall best Tweets on the so called "Tennis Twitter." Welcome to the Best Tweets of the Week, Halloween Edition.

To begin, Emma Raducanu earned the first WTA win of her career, the week before Halloween. Ironic considering the 18-year-old won the US Open and is arguably the biggest rising star on either tour. Raducanu defeated Polona Hercog in the first round of the Transylvania Open.

How about more career-defining moments? Doubles partners Irina Bara and Ekaterine Gorgodze won the Transylvania Open doubles title, their very first WTA trophies. They took down Aleksandra Krunic and Lesley Kerkhove in a tight three-set battle.

This week finished with the end of Spooktober so it's appropriate that Shelby Rogers gave a Happy Halloween to her fans from the entirety of Team USA.
