While fans are used to seeing mixing and mingling between athletes every four years at the Olympic Games, Monday at Roland Garros saw an "incomparable" doubles team make debut not on the court, but in the stands.

Billie Jean King and rapper Snoop Dogg, icons in their own rights, set social media alight as they were captured watching a pair of tennis legends, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, play for the 60th time as professionals (in a match eventually won by Djokovic). As the sun shone in Paris, a welcome change from a rainy and gray opening day in Paris, King looked cool in a turquoise blazer as she chatted up the 17-time Grammy Award-nominee, who was wearing a seemingly-handmade shirt in support of Coco Gauff.

"Never thought I'd see those names in a sentence together," one fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "I love sports."

"Who had Billie Jean King hanging with Snoop Dogg on their bingo card," another wrote.

Later, the duo snapped a photo with some of the members of Team USA, who were out and about making their own fashion statement in support of Emma Navarro.

Desirae Krawczyk, Tommy Paul and Jessica Pegula could be seen wearing American flag-inspired shirts bearing the exclamation, "Let's go Emma!"

It worked: Navarro eventually came from a set down to win her second-round match in three sets, and keep what's been an undefeated start for the U.S. women in Paris in tact. Danielle Collins (over Caroline Wozniacki) and Gauff (over Lourdes Maria Carle) were also winners on Monday morning.

And as it turns out, the tennis legend and the hip-hop icon (whose play-by-play for various sports has already gone viral during these Olympics) have more in common than posing for a photo with U.S. tennis players.

They're both natives of Long Beach, Calif. and graduates of Long Beach Polytechnic High School.

Meeting the rap star, whose legal name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., was a goal for King in her trip to Paris, if a post on her official X (formerly Twitter) account is to be believed.

After a smash-hit pilot, there's no doubt more fun to come on this season of "Billie and Snoop Take Paris" as the tennis competition pushes towards the medal rounds later this week.
