From reading out clues on everyone’s favorite game show to helping shape the future of business through innovation, it’s been a busy week for 80-year-old sports icon Billie Jean King.

The 39-time Grand Slam winner was a guest this week on an episode of Jeopardy!, where she delivered the clues for the “Trailblazing Women in Sports” category.

King garnered a strong showing from the contestants who successfully answered questions on Wilma Rudolph, Jacqueline Joyner-Kersee and Mia Hamm, only missing out on tennis’ “Divine Miss Marble”—Alice Marble, a champion in the 1930s who was also one of King’s first coaches.

After recognizing her fellow trailblazers in sports, King herself was recognized for her long-standing advocacy for equality through her work with Billie Jean King Enterprises. The organization was recently named by Chief, the largest network of senior executive women, as one of 25 exceptional companies shaping the future of business with innovation in its inaugural New Era of Leadership Awards.

BJK Enterprises, a women-owned and women-led consulting, marketing and investment firm, was founded by Billie Jean King and her partner Ilana Kloss to support women in sports and business. Thanks to a few massive deals in 2023, they’ve helped do just that: BJK Enterprises helped establish the Professional Women’s Hockey League, the first-ever sustainable women’s hockey league—which has since seen record-breaking attendance in Montréal, Toronto and St. Paul, Minnesota.

BJK Enterprises also partnered with the International Tennis Foundation to create the BJK Cup. Dubbed the World Cup of women’s tennis, it’s the world’s largest annual women’s international team sports competition in terms of the number of nations that compete.

“It is truly meaningful to be included in the inaugural group of companies receiving Chief’s New Era of Leadership Awards,” said Ilana Kloss, King’s wife and the CEO of Billie Jean King Enterprises.

“We are finally seeing the impact of real investment in women’s sports. We’ve always known that women’s sports was good business and we’re glad to see more leaders join us in driving significant innovation, awareness and investment to this market.

“Looking forward to keeping this momentum going!”

BJK Enterprises was selected by a panel of judges with experience leading some of the world’s most renowned organizations, including PepsiCo, Bumble, Kickstarter, IBM and more, while Chief has been recognized as one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies and as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies.
