Bouchard, Canadian tennis celebrate Raptors’ NBA title

Shapovalov, playing with Rohan Bopanna, is set to face Nick Kyrgios and Matt Reid in the doubles semifinals of the Stuttgart ATP 250 on Saturday.

Raonic, meanwhile will take on another Canadian in the singles semis, in Felix Auger-Aliassime, who defeated Dustin Brown in three tiebreaks in the quarterfinals.

Perhaps Canada will be taking home even more titles come Sunday.

The Toronto Raptors became the first Canadian team to win the NBA Finals, on Thursday, and, with Canada quickly becoming a tennis powerhouse as well, the achievement was also big news in the tennis world.

This was especially true for Eugenie Bouchard, who, having already caught Game 5 in Toronto alongside Drake, made it all the way to Oakland for the final win.
