Second Serve: Break Point will debut a second season, Netflix has officially announced.

The tennis docuseries was renewed alongside Full Swing, a sister show that spotlights the ups and downs of the professional golf circuit and premiered on the streaming service last month.

“These shows quickly appealed to core fans of golf and tennis, and also recruited brand new fans from all around the world,” said Brandon Riegg, VP, Unscripted and Documentary Series, Netflix.

“Like so much of our growing sports slate, the compelling characters, competitive stakes, and vibrant storytelling reveal sides of the game you’ve never seen before, and we’re excited to follow the unpredictable turns of the year ahead.”

Those eager to catch a second season of Break Point won’t have to worry about a lack of Aussie Open coverage, as filming in anticipation of a renewal was underway in Melbourne and will feature the likes of Danish teen Holger Rune.

“We are already starting to do it,” the world No. 8 admitted after his first-round victory. “They are filming a little bit. I think the plan is to do some filming for my next match as well.

“I'm excited to do it. I think it's going to be great. It's good for tennis. It's good for us players. And I think more fans we can get into the sport, it's better. I'm just very positive about it.”

The first five episodes of Break Point are currently available on Netflix, while the second batch will drop in June, likely in time for the 2023 Wimbledon Championships.
