NEW YORK—Is it too early for a fiesta?

Carlos Alcaraz took in the party vibes from famous superfans Jimmy Butler and J Balvin after his fourth-round victory over Matteo Arnaldi. The win put the top seed and defending champion into the quarterfinals for a third straight year.

His straight-sets scoreline gave him time to catch up with Butler, who took the court with the Spaniard for an entertaining Stars of the Open exhibition, which raised $320,000 in aid for Ukraine.

“The man loves tennis,” said Coco Gauff of the Miami Heat’s power forward. “He was at some of the late-night matches. He was at Ben's match, too. I don't know how he's sleeping!”

Buter and J Balvin were also in some especially snazzy headwear for Alcaraz’s match on Arthur Ashe Stadium. The sombrero vueltiao, like J Balvin, is of Colombian origin and pays tribute to the country’s indigenous tribes.

“I notice when they're watching,” Alcaraz admitted of celebrities in the stands. “Sometimes, ‘Oh, my God, he's there or she's there.’ It's crazy.

“I knew before the match that Jimmy and J Balvin is going to come. Anybody else, I think this really was good for me!”

Who might be on Arthur Ashe Stadium for his last-eight clash against Alexander Zverev, and can they top Butler and J Balvin in the style game?
