"Por ti, mama."

After winning his second straight Mutua Madrid Open title, Carlos Alcaraz had a sweet message for his mom, Virginia Garfia.

With Sunday also being Mother's Day in Spain, Alcaraz made Virginia an integral part of his winning celebrations after he defeated German lucky loser Jan-Lennard Struff to triumph again at the Caja Mágica.

He wrote a note to her on the camera, sending her his love, and also addressed her in Spanish in his champion's speech. An emotional Virginia could be spotted in the stands, blowing her son a kiss, as he spoke.

After the formal celebrations, Alcaraz met with Tennis Channel's Prakash Amritraj on the court and shared more about the context surrounding his messages.

His mom, he said, isn't able to attend his matches often, and having her in his player's box made his latest victory all the more special.

“I couldn’t buy a gift for her, so I hope she enjoyed the words," Alcaraz said. "I’m gonna give her a really big hug after. ... She’s always supporting me at home. For me, it’s really nice to see her here and [I'm] enjoying her support."
