As a product of California & someone who grew up on West Coast hip-hop, Prakash Amritraj definitely can relate to 2pac Shakur in one sense. All eyes were on the son of arguably India's greatest tennis player, Vijay Amritraj, from the moment he picked up a racket. "The good news is I'm your father," the younger Amritraj recalls his dad lecturiing him. "But the bad news is, I'm your father."

Everybody wanted a piece of the legend's son, but that didn't stop him from achieving several accolades on the court. The U18 Kalamazoo champion, NCAA national champion & tournament MVP as a freshman at USC, and a pro career that saw him reach an ATP final and represent India in several Davis Cup matches.

But Prakash knew his career wasn't finished when his playing days were, and his dreams involved so much more than swinging a racket. He joined Kamau Murray on the Tennis.com Podcast to share his origin story of becoming a media member, his physical transformation, and some of the other goals he plans to attain.

Amritraj has worked in media for over six years, but it was opportunity mixed with hard work & preparation that enabled his star to really soar. In 2018 he was sent on site to the ATP Finals in London, as a one man media representative of the company. In an instant, the phenomenon known as "Prakash Worldwide" was born.
