The Pole demolished any chances of Muguruza sneaking into the semifinals by shutting her out in two sets.

Kuznetsova finally ran out of gas after two previous three-set epics, and Muguruza got to end her Singapore week on a high note.

In a showdown that was a must-win situation for both players, Radwanska prevailed to stay alive in Singapore.

Kuznetsova, the underdog who entered the competition by winning Moscow the day before the tournament, was the first woman to qualify for the semifinals. On Saturday, she fell to Dominika Cibulkova, while top-seeded Angelique Kerber topped Radwanska.
