The Zendaya-led film was one of 18 nominated for multiple awards, but didn't win for the categories of Best Original Screenplay and Best Song.

Nonetheless, it was one of just six films to win more than one award.

Leading the way was another honor for the Grammy-nominated soundtrack produced by Nine Inch Nails artists Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who were already honored with awards including a Golden Globe this season.

In addition, Marco Costa, who industry insiders have dubbed director Luca Guadagnino's "right-hand man" was lauded for his editing of the two-hour, 11-minute blockbuster, which he went about in a unqiue way.

He told reporters around the time of the film's release that he cut the entire film on mute.

"I want to be focused on the picture, I want to be focused on the scene. I want to edit the scene in a way that I think it needs,” Costa says. “So we decided to edit entirely without sound, on mute, and of course we create some moments, some specific spots, where we knew it was really important for the score to highlight this particular moment.”
