Cheers! Novak Djokovic's biggest fans and wine connoisseurs alike can now toast to the Serbian's success. According to the Serbian publication Vino & Fino magazine, the Novak Djokovic Winery, a family-owned operation in the all-time great's home country, has recently released its first labels: the Djokovic Chardonnay 2020 and Djokovic Syrah 2020.

Novak Djokovic's uncle, Goran, is the director of the winery, and told Vino & Fino that he hopes the vineyard will soon attain similar status to what his nephew's achieved on-court: excellence.

"There are many challenges, but we try to achieve the maximum in this business, as in everything," Goran Djokovic told Vino & Fino via translation. "Even Novak's racquet is not perfect, but he is still the best in the world."

Djokovic was given a hero's welcome in Serbia this summer after winning Wimbledon.

Vino & Fino reports that the Djokovic family vineyard covers six hectares, three for white grapes and three for red grapes, on "one of the most attractive lands in Serbia, on red soil rich in stone, marl and lime, with large white pieces of stone." The wine is currently sold at the Wine & Pleasure store locally, and the magazine also reports that there's large interest for global distribution.

While fans might soon be able to buy the wine around the world, they can't yet book a trip to Belgrade and tour the vineyard; it's only currently equipped for production, but hopes to add tours in the near future.

It's not the family's first foray into fine food and wine. In his youth, Djokovic's parents, mother Dijana and father Srdjan, owned a pizzeria, while the 21-time major champion opened a vegan restaurant in Monte Carlo in 2016. In addition, the Novak Café & Restaurant in Belgrade is named in his honor.
