Coco Gauff has taken her love of basketball to the next level as an investor in women’s basketball’s newest league, Unrivaled.

“Basketball is one of my favorite sports, and the chance to support a league that’s redefining the game is exciting,” Gauff said in a statement released on Monday.

She joins athletes, celebrities and investors alike: Olympian Michael Phelps, NBA player Giannis Antetokounmpo, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, to name a few, are backing the league amidst a women's sports moment in society.

Coco's reason for investing? A way of making things right with her dad.

“My dad always wanted me to follow in his footsteps and play basketball,” Gauff said on X. “Haha sorry dad but this is as close as it will get 🤣.”
