MIAMI, Fla.—You may not be able to play tennis like the Big Three, but soon you’ll be able to have all the best shots from Roger Federer right at your fingertips—or at least on your controller, thanks to the upcoming TopSpin 2K25.
The revival of the beloved video game franchise is set for an April 26 release, with current and former stars like Federer, Serena Williams, Iga Swiatek, Carlos Alcaraz and Frances Tiafoe all gracing the cover of its various editions.
On Friday during the Miami Open, developer Hangar 13 and publisher 2K Games built up the hype even more as they dropped the game’s full 25 player roster as well as a first look at some of their character designs.
And while the ATP’s world No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz said he couldn’t wait to play as himself, for world No. 3 Coco Gauff it’s a totally different story.
“It's pretty cool to be in a video game. I don't know how I would feel playing as myself, though,” she admitted in Miami, chatting with press after her 6-1, 6-2 victory over Nadia Podoroska.
So who would Gauff want to play as instead? “Probably as one of the Big Three!”
