Much like the Force 98, the Force 100 Tour is a frame for players who like to take a healthy cut at the ball, but don’t mind if the racquet does some of the work. “Two words: easy power,” as one tester described it. “When just blocking the ball back, or taking a bigger cut, getting my opponent off balance did not require much effort.” But unlike its slightly smaller and lighter sibling, our testers found the Force 100 Tour to be a more complete package. The extra mass and SR-X handle system do a superior job of filtering unwanted vibrations, making for a more comfortable and dependable response. It allowed the frame to stand up to a heavy ball better than many competing racquets in its weight class.
At times it can be a blunt instrument, perhaps lacking top-end control and touch. But if you get the racquet on the ball, putaway volleys and smashes are child’s play. Overall, the Force 100 Tour can hold its own in baseline exchanges, and it manages enough versatility for all-court play. One tester couldn’t get enough of it: “I am looking to play with a heavier racquet and I may have found my new love!”
