Who says you can’t make new friends on the Old Town Road?

Yulia Putintseva shared a megawatt image on social media on Wednesday, revealing she’d met acclaimed rapped Lil Nas X following his Long Live Montero concert in Miami.

“Thank you so much Montero,” wrote the former world No. 27 on her official Instagram. “The vibes were unreal.”

Based in Florida, Putintseva has hobnobbed with the who’s who of the music industry: over last year’s off-season, she and brother Illya met DJ Zedd when he played the Oasis Wynwood.

In between Roland Garros and Wimbledon, she made it to Wembley Stadium with fellow players Daria Saville and Maryna Zanevska to watch Ed Sheeran.

When the Miami Open first announced a move to the Hard Rock Stadium in 2019, Putintseva recalled scouting the venue while attending Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s On The Run II tour.

“I came here looking for tennis courts, but there was nothing ready yet!”

With the off-season just around the corner, expect a full itinerary from the tour’s resident music maven.
