Gauff Kasatkina vlog thumb

Forget the cover of Vogue, and step aside Vanity Fair. There’s one publication that’s got the world’s top tennis players ‘begging’ for a cameo—and right now, not even Netflix can come close.

We’re talking about *What The Vlog*, a popular YouTube channel launched by world No. 12 Daria Kasatkina and girlfriend Natalia Zabiiako, a figure skating champion. Since its launch last year it has quickly become the channel for players to be seen and heard as they take fans behind-the-scenes, vent about life on tour, and more.

This week, Zabiiako took to social media to share a teaser video to promote their newest guest. The figure skating champion told viewers to “guess by voice” the player’s identity—and internet detectives were quick to solve the mystery.

“I begged her! I begged her to come on her YouTube channel,” a voice that sounded suspiciously like one Coco Gauff gushes off screen. “Yesterday I was like, can I please be on your YouTube channel? Every player has been on there!”

“Coco” will indeed join guests like Elena Rybakina, Jessica Pegula and Aryna Sabalenka who have made appearances on What The Vlog episodes, while even more players including Jelena Ostapenko, Andrey Rublev, and Karen Khachanov have also been featured over the last few months.

And with the recent news that Netflix’s Break Point will not be renewed for a third season, Kasatkina and Zabiiako’s channel continues to provide tennis fans with probably the only true behind-the-scenes look at life as a top professional tennis player—at least until Carlos Alcaraz’s newly announced docuseries drops on the platform in 2025.

The couple have racked up 42K subscribers and counting, with about 60 vlogs posted to date on a semi-weekly publishing schedule. Kasatkina and Zabiiako do all their own editing and even add subtitles in both Russian and English so international viewers don’t miss a thing.

Gauff, the No. 3 seed in Dubai, will be back on court on Friday evening as she takes on No. 9 seed Maria Sakkari for a spot in the BNP Paribas Open final. Kasatkina, who fell in the fourth round to Yue Yuan, will be back in action at the Miami Open, which kicks off on March 19.
