Dayana Yastremska made good on her Australian Open promise to get back in the studio, debuting her latest single “Hearts” on social media on Thursday.

“This is a song for Ukraine, for children’s, about strength, about love and about maturity,” Yastremska wrote on Instagram.

The 23-year-old previously teased her return to music in Melbourne, where she was in the midst of a run to the semifinals.

“In February I hope that one new song will come out,” the former world No. 21 revealed after defeating Linda Noskova in straight sets to reach her first Grand Slam semi.

“It's gonna be three of us, three different countries, that we, you know, got together and we made a nice song. I'm not going to talk much about it. You're going to hear it soon, I hope.”

Yastremska embraced her pop star side back in 2020, releasing two dance singles while the tour was locked down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I just like to sing,” she said at the time. “I like this whole atmosphere. It's much easier for me on the tennis court, than being in the studio, standing near the microphone, and singing, it's such a stress for me!”
