Djokovic gives his thoughts against the new shot clock

Players are opening up on their thoughts over the new shot clock, which is designed to keep play moving within the 25-second limit. Since the US Open Series decision to implement it, many top players, including Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, have expressed favorable attitudes towards the new rule.

Novak Djokovic is not one of them.

After winning his second round match in Cincinnati against Adrian Mannarino, the Wimbledon champion said that is he firmly against the shot clock.

"No shot clock," he said. "It's enough time, it's great, but I don't like it."

He also came out against five-set matches, saying that "tennis matches need to be more dynamic and shorter for a younger audience."

Cincinnati is the only ATP Masters 1000 tournament that Djokovic has yet to win.
