World No. 1 Novak Djokovic took home his fifth BNP Paribas Open by topping an ailing Milos Raonic, 6-2, 6-0. But Djokovic won more than just a title this week.

Days earlier, the Serb was in a tightly contested battle with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. In the first-set tiebreak, he won a point yet admitted to an accidental ball touch, handing the point over to the Frenchman.

Moments of selfless sportsmanship like this are rare but beautiful gems. Perhaps it’s time to bring the sportsmanship awards that junior players receive at most tournaments up to the pros.
