Elina Svitloina is a Vogue Ukraine cover star. In a fall issue that centers female athletes, Ukraine's most prolific tennis player posed for the camera on the front page alongside other prominent sportswomen from her country, fencer Olga Kharlan and high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh.

The photos accompany an interview conducted during the US Open in New York, where Svitolina discusses how she became an ambassador for United24, the Ukrainian state fundraising platform for humanitarian relief efforts during its war against Russia, and how she's become a voice for Ukrainian sports diplomacy on the international stage.

She also discussed her inspiring return from maternity leave in 2023, and how the Elina Svitolina Foundation has helped young athletes affected by the Russian invasion.

Svitolina called the opportunity to be on the magazine's cover "an incredible honor" as she shared snaps from the photoshoot on Instagram.

"From aspiring to inspiring, my journey unfolds on the pages of my first Vogue cover, a symbol of endless possibilities and the power of self-belief," Svitolina wrote.

Svitolina was styled by Akari Endo-Gaud for the Nagi Sakai photoshoot, with hair by Marco Braca and makeup by Kuma Beauty.

While she's been off-court since the US Open rehabbing a foot injury, Svitolina hasn't been far from tennis. Over the weekend, she was spotted in the stands as her husband, Gael Monfils, won his 12th career ATP singles title in Stockholm, becoming the oldest champion in tournament history.

The couple were in Stockholm with daughter Skaï, who recently celebrated her first birthday.
