Federer busy exploring Swiss nature

While the US Open rages on, the Swiss is taking in the sights.

Roger Federer is soaking in the beauty of his home country of Switzerland, and who can blame him? While the US Open is about to go into the second week, the world No. 3 looks like he's taking full advantage of his time off. Sharing his best photos, Federer appears to be exploring scenic Appenzell, Swtiizerland.

And it really is a breathtaking place, worthy of multiple social media posts.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to spend a little time with nature in your postcard-like cabin.

It looks like the 34-year-old has stepped into a painting, and it looks like he's forgotten all about tennis.

Until he does something that looks familiar. The 17-time Grand Slam champion took a stroll through a tunnel that's seemingly parallel to the Arthur Ashe Stadium tunnel walk.

The Swiss' biggest troubles this year was a bad back and knee surgery, eventually cutting his season short. It's good to see him out and about, enjoying scenes he may not have had time for while he was busy winning majors.
