While Roger Federer has accomplished plenty throughout the course of his illustrious career, one thing he had not done before Monday was play tennis on a boat in Prague.

He can check that off his list.

Federer joined world No. 14 Tomas Berdych on the Vltava River, as the duo promoted the Laver Cup. The inaugural team tennis event will take place in the Czech Republic's capital from Sept. 22-24, and feature a "World" team against "Europe."

Federer and Berdych launched a countdown to the event and spoke to a crowd in Prague's Old Town Square.

The two stars then fielded questions about the event in a more formal setting: a press conference in Prague Town Hall.

Federer touched on what it may be like to play doubles with 14-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal (who he just beat to win the Australian Open), how he thinks John McEnroe might be able to help the World Team against what will be a very powerful European contingent, and what he thinks of Bjorn Borg (Team Europe's coach).

But really, the highlight of the day was Federer and Berdych hitting tennis balls on a boat. The Swiss has already won Grand Slams on hard, clay and grass courts. Could water be next?

Federer, 35 years young, is not shying away from adventure as he gets older, that is for sure. In a span of two days he went from running around a mountain with Bear Grylls to marketing the Laver Cup by playing tennis on a boat.

He lost the beard along the way.

At least he’s having fun, right?

The fun won't stop anytime soon as Federer just announced he's committing to playing Basel through 2019.
