Federer journeys to Zambia for charity foundation work

Roger Federer may be skipping the clay season (again), but that doesn't mean he isn't keeping busy. The world No. 2 took his first-ever trip to Zambia to visit a few Roger Federer Foundation community school programs.

His charity helps children who live in poverty-stricken countries get an education. His journey took him to schools in the District of Lundazi and Chipata District in the Eastern Province of Zambia.

The Swiss kicked a soccer ball around with the local children, spoke with the District Council, parents and teachers and even assisted in a classroom.

The 36-year-old even let loose some of his dance moves.

"It is my hope that in 10 years' time all children will have access to early childhood education in Zambia, as it is the foundation of all learning," Federer said.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion's next tournament will be Halle in June.
