The Tuesday contest was a big deal for Murray, who hasn't played since losing in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon. Murray has dropped to No. 16 as he deals with a hip injury, but tentatively plans to be back on tour in January in time for Brisbane.

But back to Federer's kilt. He only wore it for a game at the start of the second set, but it garnered a lot of attention.

Not one to miss out on a joke, Murray donned a festive cap complete with a red wig for the final few points of the match:

Federer won the charity exhibition, 6-3, 3-6, (10-6), getting in some practice ahead of the ATP Finals in London after choosing to skip Paris. The night was truly a success for both men.
