Fila’s Energized series serves as the brand’s performance shoe line. Building off the successes of the most recent Axilus 2, the company sought ways to make the latest—the Speedserve Energized—the most dynamic yet. The focus went into creating a new silhouette that is more responsive and contoured than its predecessors.
Among the new improvements:
- A molded, breathable sockliner and slip-on construction
- Energized Rubber cushioning at the forefoot and heel
- Enhanced herringbone tread on the outsole which is backed by a six-month warranty
- Structured midsole support via a midfoot TPU stabilizer
As with all its performance apparel, Fila worked closely with its sponsored athletes, from juniors up to the professional ranks. Testing was carried out over a two-year period, with the feedback going directly into the design process. Special attention was paid to the cut of the shoe to create a more tailored feel.
“I’ve been loving the new shoe,” said 67th ranked Ann Li. “It’s always a balance adjusting to how a new shoe fits, and most importantly getting a feel for it on-court to ensure it has the level of comfort and flexibility to allow me to perform my best. Fila has really focused on the fit of the new shoe and I am excited to continue wearing them throughout the 2022 season.”
