Fire dancers, flowers and sing-alongs: Inside Jelena Ostapenko's 26th birthday bash

Whether you live in Latvia or not, Jelena Ostapenko's birthday party is always the hottest ticket in town—and this week, the 2017 Roland Garros champion's 26th birthday bash was no different.

Ostapenko rang in her latest year with a lavish celebration Thursday in the resort city of Jūrmala, complete with a barrel's worth of fresh floral arrangements, live music, an impressive cake, and dancers who grooved around towering letter spelling her name in flames.

Ever the influencer, Ostapenko documented the party on her Instagram, both with her own posts and reposts from her guests. Intars Busulis—once a contestant on the Russian version of "The Voice"—provided the soundtrack for the affair, and eagle-eyed tennis fans even noticed that among the attendees was cardboard cut-out of Ostapenko's likeness.

Talk about an A-list guest list.

"Verified What an amazing day [it] was yesterday," she wrote. "Thanks everyone for all birthday wishes."

Ostapenko's most famous birthday party remains her 20th, during her famous title run in Paris. She left her teenage years in 2017 with a 7-6(4), 3-6, 6-3 win over Timea Bacsinszky in the semifinals en route to becoming the first Latvian to ever win a Grand Slam title. But if she's not playing deep into the second week Paris, her now-famous soirees are planned well in advance, and Busulis is always her first call.

“I always like to have the local artists," she said last fall at the WTA Finals. "Intars Busulis ... we’re really good friends. We always have so much fun and he’s really amazing, the way he pumps up the people and everyone starts to dance. Every party should be like that.”

With Ostapenko no doubt already thinking about how to top herself next year for age 27, we've got one burning question left: How do we score an invite?
