Fognini sports a new hairdo in Los Cabos

The Italian is having some fun before the tournament starts.

Technically, it’s not a vacation as he’s in town for work. Yet, Fabio Fognini has gotten into the laid-back vibes of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where he’s taken the time to break out a new hairstyle before he hits the court.

The beads and barely there braids scream “chill mode," and bring back memories of youngsters on tropical vacations getting braids and beads. Scrolling through the hundreds of comments, you’ll see some mixed reactions from the tennis community.

Doubles specialist Robert Lindstedt gives it a flat-out “no.” CoCo Vandeweghe thinks the look deserves a high-five. Fognini's Davis Cup teammate Andreas Seppi says it’s hard to look at. Fognini’s wife, 2015 US Open champion Flavia Pennetta, can only laugh—and laugh some more.

The ATP has gotten involved in this hair-raising spectacle, too.

The “likes” goal has been reached. Will the No. 2 seed in Los Cabos take the court with his vacation 'do on Wednesday or will it be back to business?
