Fritz plots revenge on Tiafoe after Rome debagging prank

Frances Tiafoe has been put on notice by Taylor Fritz after Tiafoe revealed a prank he successfully pulled off on his countryman.

Speaking with Naomi Osaka in an IG Live interview, the two-time major champion asked Tiafoe to share the meanest thing he has done. The former Australian Open quarterfinalist disclosed, “In a rain delay in Rome, I pantsed Taylor Fritz. He was wearing compression shorts, those shorts that are two in one with the spandex, so that was quite a scene for Verdasco’s wife who was right behind him.

“That was not one of my best moments. It went completely different than I thought.”

Fritz confirmed Tiafoe’s account, adding an important detail that he was holding a lunch tray when the swipe occurred, “so was all out there for .5 seconds in Rome player dining.”

Reilly Opelka, a good friend of both, added, “it was an unfortunate time for all of us.”

On Sunday, two days after their Twitter exchange, Fritz followed-up by asserting to Tiafoe, “I will get you back eventually… trust me on that,” ending with a purple smiling face with horns emoji.

The plot thickens and will only become more dramatic when the two are finally on-site in the same place again.
