From Southern California to Australia to Arizona, the PPA Tour is settling into its third event of the year, and three tennis-turned-pickleball stars are already one—successful—round in.

Sock took down Young’s doubles partner, Travis Rettenmaier, 11-2, 11-7, in under 25 minutes. But Young did even better in solo action, losing just nine points Rafa Hewett, winning in less than 20 minutes.

No. 9 seed Bouchard fared well herself, defeating 17th seed Hannah Blatt, 11-5, 11-8.

Bouchard and Sock are also teaming up in mixed doubles, taking on Ivan Jakovljevic and Lindsey Newman. Their first-round match still to come on PickleballTV today.

Young is teaming up with former WTA player Kaitlyn Christian in mixed doubles, along with Rettenmaier in men’s doubles.

Tennis Channel and United Pickleball Association have officially launched the PickleballTV app. Watch all the action from PPA Tuscon, including on-demand matches, instructional videos, lifestyle programming and more.
