But really, what was that? During Petra Kvitova's steamrolling of Simona Halep, the Romanian charged the net and pulled off what looked like an accidental drop-shot winner while down match point.

Kvitova would lose that game, but barrel ahead for a 6-1, 6-2, sealing her spot in the WTA premier final.

The world No. 16 will face Dominica Cibulkova for a shot at her first title in 2016. The Slovak beat Svetlana Kuznetsova to reach her fifth final of the year, and she was pretty excited about it.

It should be a highly contested final, as TENNIS.com says, tennis is better when Cibulkova and Kvitova are playing well. It will be their first meeting since Indian Wells in 2014.
