It took two days but Dominic Thiem is into the Roland Garros final once more. The world No. 4 ended Novak Djokovic Grand Slam streak at 26 matches with a 6-2, 3-6, 7-5, 5-7, 7-5 win that wrapped up at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Rain suspended play on Friday with Thiem leading in the third set, despite some clearer skies following the announcement. Rain once again paused play with Thiem up 4-1 in the fifth set on Saturday. He would need three match points to seal his place in Sunday's final.

His next opponent is the same man who beat him in last year's final, Rafael Nadal. The Spaniard will be well rested after his straight-set win over Rafael Nadal was completed Friday afternoon.
