Mirka Federer was a big focus for the TV cameras during Roger Federer's victory over Marin Cilic in the Australian Open final. The Swiss star's wife was supportive from start to finish, just as she has been from the very beginning of Federer's rise to super stardom.

"Without her support, I wouldn't be playing tennis no more since many years," Federer said. "But we had a very open conversation, if she was happy to do this or not, years ago. I'm happy that she's super supportive, and she's willing to take on a massive workload with the kiddies. Same for me, because I wouldn't want to be away from my kids for more than two weeks. This life wouldn't work if she said no."

The couple met at the Sydney Olympics back in 2000. They would get married in 2009 and have four children (two sets of twins).
