If anyone was doubting Ugo Humbert, they aren't doubting him now. The 22-year-old built on a strong run in Rome by defeating the top seed Daniil Medvedev, 6-4, 6-3 in Hamburg. It marked Humbert's first win over a Top-10 player.

What made the moment even more special was Humbert's mother who was watching the match. After the victory, the two shared a special moment.

The upset is only one of many things that have gone right for Humbert during his breakthrough season. He owns a 14-8 record in 2020 and picked up his first ATP title in Auckland. The world No. 41 takes on Jiri Vesely next, and will have a lot of confidence going into Roland Garros.

“I know I can play very nice on clay," Humbert said on Tuesday. "Daniil is a very nice player. I am very happy with my first Top 10 win and for sure, it was one of my biggest wins today."
