On Wednesday, Gauff continued her lucky run in Linz when she fought past Ukrainian Kateryna Kozlova. Having rallied from a set and a break down to force a final set, the American teen was up a break in the decider when Kozlova was forced to retire due to a left lower leg injury. With a 4-6, 6-4, 2-0 win, Gauff advanced to the final eight.
